This one goes out to Erin, who I met on a trip to Israel circa 2006. We took part in a fellowship where we refurbished bomb shelters in the northern part of the country to be used as community gathering spaces. No matter how much time passes, every time I see her we fall right back into place. Some relationships are just like that. Despite the challenges she’s faced in life, she has remained one of the most positive, encouraging + generous people I’ve ever met.
